About The Writer
Ashunda is a multidisciplinary artist who works as a filmmaker, poet, arkivist and critical scholar. She has written, directed and produced several short films, including her most recent multi award-winning cinematic project, MINO: A Disaporic Myth. MINO screened at several festivals internationally including the British Urban Film Festival, the Berlin Short Film Festival and the Black Film Festival of New Orleans. The film is currently a part of RED SPRING’s Curating the End of the World online exhibition and is now archived in North Carolina State University’s library.
